Happy Graduation Lillian

One of our mom's here at KCP, Lillian Vecchio, became a graduate of Penn State this month.
With a little bit of pitching from us and a lot of personality from her, WPVI did a whole feature segment on this amazing lady and her accomplishment.

It's always sunny...

Actually, it's not really always sunny in Philadelphia. But that didn't stop the GMA and GMA Weekend weather anchors from coming to Philly twice in March.

In the beginning of March, Sam Champion was doing his live weather hits from the Philadelphia Flower Show. In addition to updates on the weather, Sam also did a segment with Jamie Rothstein about flower arranging.

At the end of March, Marysol Castro was at the Philadelphia Zoo for their 150th Anniversary Celebration. Resident Polar Bears, Klondike and Coldilocks, started posing for the cameras at 5am and didn't stop all morning!

An Incredible Reunion

Eight heartbreaking months after her children had gone missing, Grace Bjarnson received the best news of her life-- her children had been found safe near Lancaster, PA.
The Utah resident flew all alone across the country to pick up her children at the Philadelphia Airport. I had the privilege of being there with a crew for GMA to capture the moment of their reunion. As I walked Grace to where her children were waiting, she clung to me filled with excitement and anxiety, until she finally laid eyes on her children again. I inadvertently made air as a result, but at the time, it was more important to keep holding her hand. This was one of those truly special moments that we in TV have the unique opportunity to share.

Details about their story can be read HERE, where you can also see the final piece that aired on GMA.

MAY - PHILLY STYLE MAG RE-LAUNCH
We were on the red carpet for Extra interviewing Jon Bon Jovi. Jon was chosen to be on the cover of the magazine for its re-launch under new ownership. (You can almost see my hand holding the mic!)

Stranger in the Attic

How would you feel if you found out a stranger had been living in your attic, going through your things when you left the house, stealing your holiday presents? This actually happened to Stacy Ferrance and her family in Wilkes Barre, PA. I saw the scene for myself when I was in the Ferrance home, producing their live interview on Good Morning America.

Just in time for the holidays...

Out in Seattle, we had the chance to help Reggie Fils-Aime talk to various networks about the success his company, Nintendo, is experiencing despite the general economic slump. Thanks in large part to the Wii, Nintendo should do well this holiday season.

Check out Reggie's interview with Alexis Glick from FBN
